Motorists using Saundersfoot harbour’s car park have shared their anger at being caught out by the facility’s new ANPR camera system, which is operating 24 hours a day, with many also highlighting confusion over a grace period for those entering the area<br/>Drivers entering the seaside car park have been warned to be on the watch out if they’re thinking of pulling up to enjoy the seaside view for a short while, as a newly introduced enforcement system in operation, could see them caught out with a £100 fine, with parking enforcement now undertaken and managed by Britannia Parking.<br/>“There is a new system in operation and if you’re using the car park, please make sure you purchase a ticket!” warned county councillor for the village’s south ward Cllr Chris Williams recently.<br/>Anyone issued with a fine has the option to raise a dispute or any mitigating circumstances with the firm directly, with contact details for Britannia Parking included on each of the enforcement signs around the car park.<br/>However, many boat users have queried whether there is a grace period to gain access to their moorings. Some have sought clarification to be told by harbour staff that it is 20 minutes, whilst others insist that if your vehicle enters the car park for longer than 10 minutes, without purchasing a ticket, you will receive notice of a hefty fine in the post.<br/>“I have asked more than once for a simple answer to a simple question - how long is the ‘grace period’ the harbour has agreed with the parking company so we can all know if you have one minute to drop or collect someone for work or if you have five?” one local resident posted on Facebook.<br/>“What about guests driving to the marine centre to drop off their luggage when they check in. The charge is to ‘use the car park’ even if you don’t park. <br/>“That’s what will make the company thousands of pounds this summer and ruin a lot of holidays when visitors receive their surprise ticket or tickets on returning home.<br/>“Anyone launching boats, fuelling boats, collecting trailers, dropping off kayaks, picking up workers at the end of the day etc are all money making opportunities with this new charge.<br/>“I feel most for the older people or those with mobility issues who drive down late in the evening and purchase fish and chips - to take away. They now have to pay to park. It’s all just an opportunity for money now. Greed!”

Fed-up locals living next to a historic Shakespeare property say their lives have been made “hell” by drug dealers and anti-social yobs.<br/><br/>Residents on South Green Drive in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warks., say they are too scared to leave their homes after dark.<br/><br/>The leafy street - where house prices average £406,000 - is close to Anne Hathaway's Cottage, the wife of William Shakespeare. <br/><br/>Residents living on the road were too scared to be named fearing reprisals, but say their lives have become “miserable”.<br/><br/>One woman, who has lived on the road for 50 years, said: “It’s quite frightening when you see cars full of big men sitting in the street.<br/><br/>“We have had drug dealers move in next door and you get these big burly blokes coming in and out at all times of the day and night. <br/><br/>“You’ve got to pretend that you don’t see it. You see the younger dealers buzzing around the area too.<br/><br/>“They tend to go in next to the children's play area so they are not overlooked by people's homes. <br/><br/>“You also get kids aged 14 and 15 coming up in the holidays and throwing stones at people’s windows. <br/><br/>“Talking to the police, it’s obvious they can’t cope. It’s the County Lines drug gangs who are operating here.<br/><br/>“We live in one of the most beautiful towns in the country, yards away from Anne Hathaway’s famous cottage, but our lives are miserable.”<br/><br/>Another young mum, who moved to the street six years ago, said: “When I first moved here it was older, retired people.<br/><br/>“It was beautiful and people would be out making their gardens look nice.<br/><br/>“Then a housing association took over a few properties and young people moved in and then came the drugs.<br/><br/>“We had people move in next door to me who were obviously dealing drugs.<br/><br/>“I’d lose count of how many times I saw the police round there. <br/><br/>“The area is falling apart and people who used to stop for a chat now lock themselves in their homes. It’s sad really but the criminals have won.”<br/><br/>Other residents say the estate often organised community barbecues and street sales but that had all come to an end.<br/><br/>One said: “People just aren’t interested any more.<br/><br/>“I’ve tried to organise barbecues and this and that people just keep themselves to themselves now.<br/><br/>“I feel for one couple near me, they have two young children and they have to walk past a known drug den to take their kids to school.<br/><br/>“I can pick a druggie out really well. You just get used to it, it’s normal now.<br/><br/>“I’ve had plain clothed police officers sat in front of my drive, just watching them.<br/><br/>“I've seen armed police come and raid homes. It’s a weekly occurrence.<br/><br/>“These men just park outside across people’s driveways, they do their drug deals and go. They don’t care who they upset. They’re scary men.<br/><br/>“You can tell they’re dodgy, something isn’t right. It’s all since the buildings were taken over and given to younger people.<br/><br/>\

A mum makes more than £10k-a-year hand-crafting earrings and bracelets out of - beer cans.<br/><br/>Carys Miles, 40, launched her unique business, Craft Beerings, five years ago after finishing a can of craft beer.<br/><br/>Fascinated by the quirky and colourful designs of the cans and desperate for a creative venture, Carys got to work.<br/><br/>She decided to carefully cut and flatten the vibrant cans before cutting them into different shapes - such as studs, hearts and lightning bolts.<br/><br/>The raw material is then dried out before being applied to earring mounts - with Carys able to make five pairs of earrings from one can.<br/><br/>Though she usually batch-makes the earrings, Carys says she can convert a can to a pair in just 30 minutes.<br/><br/>She doesn't add any gloss to the final earrings, with some pairs featuring shiny overlays whilst others are more papery, representing the true texture of the can.<br/><br/>Carys made over 960 pairs of the earrings last year and sells them online and at craft fairs for between £10 - £17.50.<br/><br/>Carys, who runs the business full-time , from Colchester, Essex, said: \

A heart-stopping video caught the dramatic moment a Lufthansa Airlines Boeing 747 violently bounced off the runway at LAX before aborting the landing. <br/><br/>On Tuesday, the 747, Boeing's largest 'Jumbo Jet,' was attempting to land at Los Angeles Airport, but the plane struck the runway hard and bounced twice, forcing the pilot to abort.<br/><br/>The frightening moment was documented in a livestream by Airline Videos Live, a group of airplane enthusiasts 'dedicated to bringing high-quality video' of commercial aviation 'to viewers worldwide.'<br/><br/>In the video, Lufthansa Flight 456, which originated in Frankfurt, Germany, could be seen sweeping down toward the runway with its landing gear extended.<br/><br/>Everything appeared to be going smoothly until the plane's back wheels touched down, at which point a cloud of white smoke burst from the wheels.<br/><br/>Then the plane abruptly jerked upward, its wheels hovering over the ground for a few yards. <br/><br/>The plane lurched downward again, this time both the front and back wheels making contact with the runway.<br/><br/>But as soon as the wheels touched down, the plane, which seats 400 passengers and crew, bounced upward.<br/><br/>After the second botched landing, the pilot decided to abort and the video showed the plane ascending into the sky. <br/><br/>While the plane bounced along the runway, Kevin Ray, the website's owner and chief commentator, shouted: 'Holy Moly!'<br/><br/>'That is the roughest landing I think we've ever caught on our broadcast,' said Ray, later adding that they could 'smell' the burnt rubber from the wheels.<br/><br/>Lufthansa Flight 456 proceeded to circle the airport and landed without an issue a short time later.<br/><br/>As of right now, it is unclear whether this incident was the result of some malfunction with the 9-year-old Boeing plane or if it was caused by something else.<br/><br/>Earlier this week, there was another fraught landing with a Boeing plane at an airport in South Africa.<br/><br/>Moments after take-off, a Boeing 737 plane lost a wheel and the pilot was forced to execute an emergency landing.<br/><br/>Safety staff at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa, noticed the FlySafair aircraft had damaged its undercarriage on take off on 21st April.<br/><br/>After being ordered back, the pilots made a low pass over the runway so engineers could inspect the damage.<br/><br/>They found one of four rear wheels had been clipped during takeoff and ordered the plane down. But video footage of the landing shows the wheel disintegrating as the plane tried to taxi down the runway.<br/><br/>The clip shows flight FA212 with smoke billowing from the damaged wheel.<br/><br/>Seconds later there was a huge bang and parts of the wheel flew off as the undercarriage collapsed sending the jet leaning sideways towards its port left wing as it ground to a halt towards the end of the footage.<br/><br/>Miraculously no one was injured in the drama, reported local media, and passengers were evacuated and offered another flight.<br/><br/>
